How does an Ad get marked as SOLD?

I am wondering how a unregistered, or registered for that mattter, user marks their AD as SOLD?

    Thanks!

there's no native functionality in CP to mark an ad as sold.

But a registered member can pause their ad from their dashboard. Or he could simply edit the ad to say the item was sold.

Non-registered members can't edit or pause ads I don't think.

I ask my users to update their ad title to *SOLD* rather than pause the ad (as every ad helps my SEO) - they just do this in the user dashboard. You have to keep on top of things though as sometimes if ads run a long time people forget they have them and might forget to update.

Yup, I just put a notice that my users can see during ad submission to just add "SOLD" in the title rather than deleting it. Since I don't delete ads I just put a notice using a plugin warning visitors that the ad is already old. You can see the sample on my site here http://cars.cebulive.com/sachs-madass-125-motorcycle/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

The plugin is called Old Post Notifier, here's the link http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/old-post-notifier/.
