Hello,
After spending numerous hours for searching classified theme,i zeroed in on classipress.I am thinking about purchasing one of the AppTheme themes (Classipress), but I have few set of questions regarding usage.

1. As we are planning to host this site for indian audiences i found out that there is no option for indian states..Is this configurable?
2. Intially we dont want to charge anything for posting ads on the website and planning to charge later as popularity increases.Can payment option be enabled or disabled?
3. Is there indian currency support?
4. While posting ads is there an option where user can specify min-max ranges for the item he wants to sell.
5. Currently there is a search based only on category..Is there any way user can search using the lisitings city wise?

1. Yes, you can edit the field values for the "State" field from within the ClassiPress admin dashboard. By default these are filled in with US States, but again, easily changed as is the actual field name "State".

2. Yes, you can change ad pricing at any time so once the setting is changed it will effect further ads posted on the site. Just a sidenote of this, if you choose to use the renew ad option, ads will only be renewed based on the original terms of the ad. i.e. if the ad was originally listed for free, it won't change to a paid relist.

3. The payment gateway used in ClassiPress, PayPal, does not currently support Indian Rupees, so technically the option to charge in this currency is not available (you can charge in any currencies listed, as seen on the ClassiPress admin demo). You can however allow ad listings in the currency of your choice, and note there is also a bank transfer option.

4. You could create a custom field with dropdown options/radio buttons if you wished to do so.

5. Currently only by entering in the location into the search itself. There are plans for an advanced search functionality in the next release of the theme (v3.1).

Finally got myself a professional edition..i did try to add some dummy post and saw that the states are from US..From my previous query i understand that indian states can be placed in dropdown instead of US states...Can you help me...how do i edit this?

Yes, the US states can be replaced as explained in my post above. City based search

is there any option that user can filter ads based on city,category?i cant see that in the demo and there is no advanced search option present.

The advanced search functionality will be included in ClassiPress v3.1 due out this month. The demo will be updated when it is released, so you'll be able to see it in action then :)
