    Jobroller data base

    Hi.

Could you please let me know the specifics on how the jobs roller data base works?

For example where would the jobs data stored? With the web host of Appthemes or with my own host provider?

Before purchasing this theme, I want to make sure that all of the private data entered into JobRoller is available to me only.

That the database belongs to me only and not a third party such as a cloudhosting provider.

    Thanks for your help!

In order to install the JobRoller theme, you need to have your own hosting account with WordPress installed on it. AppThemes does not offer hosting services, so your installation is independent of us in that sense. User data and jobs entered directly onto your site are stored in the database which is part of your own hosting provider account which only you (and technically, your host) should have access to. The database belongs to you as per any terms of your hosting provider. If you are using feeds such as Indeed.com, or SimplyHired, those specific jobs are dynamically displayed, so the data itself is never stored in your database. Thanks.

    Thanks for the speedy reply!

That is all I needed to know, answered all my questions and put all my reservations to bed.

I can go ahead and purchase the JobRoller theme now!

Looks like a great theme and I'm pretty excited about getting to use it.

Yes WordPress uses a mysql database, so the data is stored there. Thanks.

One question more: for employers and jobseekers dedicated same mysql database? Because I tried from one of site running jobroller to open an jobseeker account while I have employer account, I received a response that there is an account with the same email address.

Yes, it is the same database. Each account needs to be associated with a different email address, and a user cannot be set up as an employer and job seeker simultaneously. Thanks.

here is my comment ; HR managers can be employer (for her/his company) and also be a jobseeker at the same time (when they like to find another job), they dont need to have 2nd email account in order to apply jobs. Is it very difficult to make employers' and jobseekers' database different? Thanks
