The theme uses a WordPress.com service to retrieve the image, so currently it would involve modification of the default theme on your part if you wanted to allow images to be manually uploaded for the store. Thanks.
If you want to use your own store logo instead of the default store image, then you would need to customize the theme. You cannot upload an image as you have described. Thanks.
