M-PESA Payment Integration
I am planning to purchase Classipress anytime from today, but first I need a clarification about the Payment Gateway/ process.
I do NOT intend to use Paypal for my customers to make payments when placing Ads, but instead I intend to use a mobile phone-based transfer system called MPESA (widely used in Kenya and all other Eastern African Countries – allows transfer of Money using a Mobile Phone)
My question is will I be able to customize the system, using the custom fields and forms, to add an extra option on the dropdown for payment modes to include M-PESA in addition to PAYPAL?
Subsequently, on the “Ad Submission Form Wizard”, if a customer decides to use M-PESA, as the mode of payment, will I be able to customize the three steps in “Ad Submission Form Wizard” to include 2 more, sequenced as follows:
Step 1 - Fill out your ad details.
Step 2 - show the ad summary and total cost - in KES (Kenya Shillings)
Step 3 – Pay using M-PESA by sending money (Ad total cost) to 07XX XXX XXX (Site Admin's Mobile Number). Idea is to pay offline then fill out the M-PESA transaction ID (received by both sender and receiver on their mobile phones as a confirmation of a successful transfer) in step 4 below to facilitate approval of the New Ad Listing.
Step 4 – Fill out the M-PESA Payment Transaction ID (Should take the place of Paypal Transaction ID) for Transaction Logging purposes - Necessary for Admin to manually Approve New Ad Listings, after confirming receipt of payment using the provided M-PESA transaction ID.
Step 5 - Display the confirmation page only (WITHOUT redirecting customers to PAYPAL)
However, the best alternative would be to include M-PESA as an offline payment method in Classipress.
