Making ideas theme members only

Hello, very interested in using ideas theme for a sharing and rating site but we don't want the content to be publicly accessible.

Is it possible to lock down Ideas theme so that it's available and content is only visible to members only?

The theme itself doesn't offer this functionality, however you may wish to look into a plugin mentioned here "Network privacy" which could be along the lines of what you describe. Thanks.
