Per category settings?

1. Featured ads per category? By this I mean that if a user is viewing a particular category it would show the featured ads for that particular category at the top just as the front page version does.

I realize this is not currently implemented in ClassiPress but is this something that is on the drawing table for a future release?

2. Can default expiration times or no expiriation time be set on a per category basis or only site wide?

3. Can the # of images per ad be specified on a per category basis or only site wide?

4. Can the "see map" tab be displayed on a per category basis or does it need to show for all?


One more question but not a 'per category' topic:

5. Private messaging. Is this something that we may see in a future release of ClassiPress? Thanks to pepsi for pointing out the thread(s) of users discussing on how to possibly implement this. Possible candidate plugin:

1 & 5. There are a large number of items from the Feature Requests thread which are under consideration, but really I can't give you any specific dates if or when certain features will be definitely implemented at this stage. Specifically for making featured ads per category though, there are other members of the CP community who have shared their mods if you search the forums.

2 & 3. Yes, these settings are site-wide.

4. This is also a site-wide setting, although you can also choose to turn maps off altogether.
