Plan options in Vantage theme

Hi!

I have a question concerning the plan options that is built in to the Vantage theme. I am trying to figure out if I can change how the plans are set up currently. For instance instead of charging the user per listing is there a way to modify it so the user would pay a yearly rate and that would allow them to have a certain amount of listings depending on the plan. Also is it possible to modify what the benefits would be depending on the plan chosen? If so, how would I go about doing that?

If not, is it possible for me to hide the plan option build it or take it out and replace it with a membership plugin that would fit my criteria?

You can view the default available plan settings on the Vantage admin dashboard demo here, anything outside of this would require customization on your part, however our themes are not encrypted so you are free to make modifications if you wish. AppThemes doesn't officially support third party plugins so unfortunately we cannot guarantee that all such plugins would definitely be compatible with our themes. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply! Do you know what php file I would be able to find the coding to change the functions? I was looking but nothing seems to be jumping out at me.

Also would you happen to know the shortcodes for the create listing form and for the login and registration form.

Question about plan visiblity

Thank you for your help! I am creating this site for a client and trying to pertain to their needs. I understand that manipulating the functions is a whole other ball game, but figured I would ask. However I have another question for you. Say that I set up a 30 day free listing options for new users. After they click on the free listing trial will that option say go away? Or would I have to physically take it out manually. I just don't want to run into the issue of after 30 days someone continuing to click on that option and not paying for anything. Also just to make sure, even though the user already purchased a listing they are able to create/pay for another listing as well correct? Again thank you for your help!

The plan itself will be there but as it's a trial you'd generally set that for a shorter duration than other plans, and you can restrict the categories it applies to. You can of course moderate listings before they are published to also check what is happening with listings if you have concerns about them reusing it. Users can create multiple listings, so yes they can create/pay for another one. Thanks.

when upgrading the listing

Thank you! Sorry for all of these questions but I have just one more. I set up a listing and looked at all the links, add to favorites, edit listing, upgrade listing, contact listing owner. When I click on the upgrade listing it only shows one option to choose from. Now when the user would pick a plan I have a few to chose from, how can I make more price options available if the user wanted to upgrade their listing? Thank you!

No problem at all ;) Users can only upgrade their actual plan when the existing one has expired, so they won't see the other options prior to then. Thanks.

oh okay, so I can't add anymore price options on the price options page? Also I just realized the map that is above the listings posted, doesn't show the map pins on the map. They show up for a second and then they disappear. I tried taking out the map and putting it back in from the widget panel. Also I looked and made sure everything was checked off in the wordpress dashboard. Is their something that I am missing? Because I thought it was a feature that should be done automatically?
