I am planning to set up a local business directory for my county which will feature businesses by type and also by location (town based UK) and I have the following questions about your directory theme before possible purchase please:

1. can the system handle towns within the county? ie in the UK towns are smaller than cities and are within a county
2. Can businesses register and create their own listing?
3. What payment methods apart from paypal are available?
4. Does the system support reoccurring payments ie every year?
5. I want to initially offer the businesses a free 3 month listing (like a trial) but after 3 months it would be paid for - will the system support this?
6. does it cover UK?

In answer to your questions:

1. The theme uses the Google Maps API, so you can set the geo settings to your country and yes it will locate within that.
2. Yes.
3. PayPal is built into the theme by default, but you can also purchase other payment gateway plugins from the AppThemes marketplace.
4. Yes you can now set recurring billing in Vantage.
5. You could offer a reduced listing price based on a coupon (via the AppThemes coupons plugin), however there is no specific feature for trial periods.
6. Yes.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Can I just confirm that I will be able to break down business listings by Town and NOT city ie I can create a series of towns in the county - the business directory will cover 1 county which has 20 towns within it and 1 city so I need people searching to be able to choose a town name as we only have 1 city in the county - is this possible? as I thought the theme directory was city based?

Listings are not separated into locations in the way categories are, however when a listing is placed, the location is selected and that is searchable. As long as the person making the listing is specific about the location in terms of the town name then it should appear in the search. Thanks.
