Price field to be letters instead of a numeric field

Is there a way of having a dropdown menu for the price field? I would need to have "for sale" and "for rent" options. The price tag design will remain the same, just the content will change. thanks

Although you can create drop-down menus using the custom fields/forms functionality, the actual price field is a core field which would require additional customization in order to allow what you are describing. ClassiPress is not encrypted, so if you did want to modify the theme, you are free to do so. Thanks.
