Before Purchase Questions

Hello,

I think you have a great looking product here. Just have a couple questions:
1) How much can the front page be customized? (I deally I would like the first page to be the search, no listings or other information) Do you have this ability without changing code?
2) What is the current functionality of the search? Is the advance search available in v 3.0.5?
3) Will the post without registration be an option in the v 3.1 release? (If not, there are discussions on this in the customers only section of the forum?)

You can customize the frontpage to be a search only but it can't be done via the backend. You need to modify your index.php or create a new home.php so it would require some coding skills. You could also ask some professionals who are offering modification service.

The current search offers search in category and some advanced features, such as an autodectect feature for keywords. Some more features will be available in classipress 3.1

In classipress 3.1 new users can create a password on account setup or login with their facebook account. You can see the full list of features that will be available here:

P.S. thinking of it ... what you could do regarding a frontpage without ads is creating a normal page and setting it as startpage in your wordpress settings. Here you could write some introducing text and put the search widget in the sidebar. You won't need any coding for this. Could this work for you?

Concerning the front page, I think either option could work...I do have coding skills and would feel comfortable updating the php slightly, or using your second option could work as well.

My client's request was to have the search with a set number of fields displaying on the front page. (not just one search textbox) He also wanted to allow people to post and pay for ads without creating a user profile on the site. I think this would be a bigger hurdle to overcome.

I hoping to figure this out with him and hopefully use your product.
