Require .EDU Email addres

Can I required a (university).edu email address in order to post an ad?

Also, can there be multiple types of accounts in which people who do register with the .edu email can post anywhere but people with non .edu account can only post in certain sections?

There is no default options on this and will may require code modification and or through the use of a plugin such as this http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/...-restrictions/.
