My Requirement

Purpose of the website:

1. Complete details and admission procedure of all educational institutions for the
people who want to pursue any education from LKG to PG in India
2. Parents can search the schools database on the basis of PIN code or city or place or
syllabus or rating and find out institutes nearby their locality based upon distance
and get all details about institutes where they can admit their children
3. Corporate social responsibility teams. NGOs, donors can find out suitable charitable
/ government institutes for donations and can browse through infrastructure
requirements of the school
4. Results of the educational institute, highlights of academic years and other
achievements can be searched by the users of the site
5. Parents / Students can write their reviews and comments about educational
institutes and those are searchable to all (subject to review and posting)
6. Information about eligibility, entrance exams, fee charged, facilities, scholarships,
placements after particular education
7. Affiliation, Infrastructure, Accreditations, Alumni, website, online application and
other details of educational institutes
8. Lead India affiliation, activities, lectures and service projects at Institute

Operational Flow:

1. Data Collection team collects all data required for each educational institute either
through physical or electronic format
2. Admin users will enter all details into database…they need suitable web enabled
user interface to enter data. They should be able to do anywhere through internet.
3. Super admin user will finalize and approve the profile of institute to display.
4. Public can search the database and get all details required and can contact
representatives of institutes.
5. Login should be provided to institute users …they can login and add / edit all profile
details of their instate…proper controls are required
6. Institute users need to pay annual amount for listing…proper date controls on
date of expiry and reminders should go to them..online payment should be
activated..super admin should be able to add cash receipts / online transfer and
should be able to make unpaid institutes inactive.
7. CSR / Donors/ NGOs who helped the institute should get confirmation letter from
the institute and should be able to forward to Admin user for adding information
related to that to the institute.
8. Listing Donation should be based on type of the institute and on per annum basis.
9. Proper search tools should be available on site to filter all required schools
10. Public should be able to search based on PIN code and distance and based on target
standard.

Scale & Scope:

This is for entire India…initially 200,000 institutes’ profiles …extendable to 400000

That's quite a list you have there! The database items you wish to add for the listings can be created using the custom form builder in Vantage, with the ability to add text fields, text areas, checkboxes, radio buttons, and select lists as you can see from the Vantage admin demo. In terms of "Operational flow", the points specific to the theme:

2. Listings can be posted from the front end of Vantage, with admin users being able to also create listings from the WordPress admin dashboard. If you import listings in bulk, this can be done using the importer in .csv format.
3. You can select for listings to require approval before they are published.
4. If the information is available in the listing, then they can use the contact details there. There is currently no contact form built into the listing page at this time.
5. You can either allow registration on your Vantage site, or if it is disabled, then you would need to manually create accounts from the wp-admin dashboard.
6. You can create listing plans however these are not subscription prices, so they are paying per listing. There are no receipt options built into the theme.
9. Search functionality can be previewed on the Vantage demo site, with the refine results visible in the sidebar of the results page of a search here.
