No, the Clipper theme is not yet responsive. We are planning these changes in the next major release of the theme, however the estimated release date is not yet currently available on the theme release status page. It will not be until after the release of ClassiPress v3.3 though. Thanks.

    another responsive question

Im planning on doing a lot of customizations to the layout and design on the clipper theme. With this be a problem when you move to a responsive theme? I love the idea of having a responsive theme, but dont want to spend 30 hours customizing the theme to find out when I upgrade to your responsive theme, everything breaks...

We would strongly recommend that if you are planning to make changes to the default theme files, that you create a child theme for it. This will prevent you losing all of your changes in the process of an upgrade, and core functionality should remain. You can read more about the process here. Thanks.

    response

So if i do create a child theme, would I need to create a responsive child theme? And if I create a responsive child theme, will this cause an issue when I upgrade to the responsive theme in the next version? I do have a programmer that will be doing the customization so Im not the expert that will be doing the work.

This is something you'd need to test when the child theme is created, because it can depend if your child theme has over-written the responsive code styles. Any time you upgrade the theme version you'd still need to check that everything is working correctly, but having a child theme makes this less of a hassle. Ultimately if you're having someone else do the work, then they should know what they're doing ;) Thanks.
