    Security

I am interested in using Job Roller in the UK for a online recruitment agency - when a candidate/user uploads their cv/resume how are they stored within jobroller? Are they stored in the database, or within the file structure? I have seen a few others system that store them in the file structure and anyone with a bit of sense could find these documents, which is not looked upon very well for UK data protection.

Are there any encryption methods used in the database to secure user data?

In JobRoller, job seekers do not upload their resume, they complete a resume form which is stored in the resumes custom post type in JobRoller. You can restrict access to resumes within the JobRoller admin settings (including charging for subscription to the resume database), as well as restrict general WordPress back office access to only admin. Thanks.
