    Set up questions

I am trying to set up a very basic directory of contractors that can be searched by “type” and “closest to” a zip code. That's all!
I want the consumer user to be able to do only 2 things:
    1) select a contractor type from a drop down list of 60 options, like “window installers”, roofers, plumbers etc.
    2) enter the user’s zip code
I want the contractors to be able to enter their details and pay a fee to claim and have their details listed in the directory. So the theme must be able to accept credit cards.
Can your theme do all this?
How much time should it take me to get it to do the above and look reasonable? I am not a coder.
If its advanced stuff, how many hours should I budget for a WP savvy tech to set it up?
Do you have a set up checklist that I can look at so that I can see how much of it I can do myself before deciding to purchase?

    Thanks.

As you can see from the Vantage demo site, the default functionality allows users to search by keywords and location. A zip code can be selected, but nothing prevents them entering an actual location as such. Changing this search criteria to what you have described would require customization on your part as there is no specific option to change the default options and restrict to a dropdown and zip code only. Vantage is not encrypted, so you are free to make modifications if you wish though (although you would need coding knowledge to do this).

Yes you can set a fee for business to claim a listing. Vantage has the PayPal payment gateway included, however you can purchase other payment gateway plugins if you wish to allow other payment options.

AppThemes doesn't offer customization services, however we do have a certified partners page where you can find developers for hire who are experienced at working with our themes. If you make contact directly with an outline of your requirements, they can provide a quote for the work.

We don't have a checklist, but you can read about the themes functionality and test out the front and back end demos via the main Vantage theme page. You can also find theme documentation here for an idea of how features are set up. Thanks.
