Hello,

I am interested in using an Apptheme and have some questions:
can I add plugins to the theme?
can I customize the theme in the usual ways: with templates, changes to functions.php and style.css modifications?
can I add an ecommerce plugin, or paste in a code snippet for a paypal button and etc. to pages, either via templates or via wordpress page content
can I create my own custom forms?
can I use the shortcode API that WordPress provides: i.e., can I create my own shortcodes or use shortcodes provided by other plugins?

Hi Karla, in answer to your questions:

- Yes, you can use plugins with any of our themes, however it is important to note that AppThemes does not officially support third party plugins, and as such we cannot guarantee that ALL plugins will be compatible with our themes. On a related note, you can find plugins specifically designed and tested for our themes in the AppThemes marketplace.

- Yes, you can customize the themes as you wish. There is no encryption which would prevent you from doing so, however we recommend the use of a child theme in order to minimize the loss of modifications in the process of an update.

- See response to the first question regarding plugins and second regarding customizations.

- Depending on the theme you can. ClassiPress, Vantage and JobRoller v1.7 (soon to be released) do have the custom form builder

- Specialized shortcodes have not been implemented in our themes, however you can find some useful documentation here. Thanks.
