Slider on homepage

Hi,

As I currently have quite a few websites with no physical address on my existing directory, I would like to add a slider to the homepage instead of a map. However, I would still like to add a page that has a searchable map. By that I mean a map like the one that is usually used on the homepage with all the markers etc. Is that possible? Could I create a separate page & add a map shortcode, that contains all listings?

Also, on listing pages of websites, that do not use the google map, what will appear on the page or header instead of the map?
