    Some questions

Hello, I have some questions about Classipress:

    1. When entering a street address to post an ad, if the street address is entered in a way that does not allow Google Maps to recognize the spelling, will Classipress suggest to the poster to spell the word in the correct way? In some countries, a street or road may be translated differently from their native language to English. Fox example, Pathiragoda Rd. may sometimes be spelled without the 'h'. In this case, Google Maps will not return a map result. It does however return a suggested spelling result when doing a general Google search. I would like to know if Classipress can suggest these Google Maps spellings.

    2. When I select a category and am taken to the listings page, a widget is on the right side of the page titled "Refine Results". It allows me to further refine by country and state. Does Classipress allow me to place this refinement option on the homepage? This will allow the user to select which city/state/etc they wish to browse categories from, rather than seeing results first and then refining location. Also, I could not find the refine results widget under the admin panel. Is this available to edit?

    3. Is it possible to create two versions of the 'Ad Categories' box on the homepage within the admin panel? I would like to create two sets of ad categories: one for businesses and one for individuals.

    4. In what order does the "Featured Listings" present the ads? Is it ordered by date?

Thank you VERY much for your time!

    In answer to your questions:

    1. Unfortunately no, ClassiPress does not offer spelling suggestions for locations entered into the new ad form for Google Maps. This is literally a text field as you can see from the ClassiPress demo site. Unlike our Vantage theme which does allow you to search a location, which I assume is maybe what you mean?

    2. Currently the "refine results" (advanced search) widget is only available in the category view with the default theme. Changing this to the homepage would require some customization of the theme on your part as there is no setting to add this automatically via the admin dashboard. Yes, you can configure the advanced search yourself and select which relevant custom fields you would like to allow your site users to refine the results by. You can find instructions for this in our theme documentation for a better idea of how they are set up.

    3. Again this would require some customization of the theme as it is outside of what can be configured in the existing theme settings.

    4. Yes featured listings are listed in the order by which the ad was posted.

We hope this information helps, thanks :)
