    Some questions about Classipress

    1. Theres some way to insert custom fields to the AD register form?
I would like to put radio buttons so the users can mark some of the car accessories when registering the AD, like: MP3 sound, Automatic, Manual, etc...

    2. On the Membership Option, I would like that the ADs was pruned when the membership time expires. But also, I would like that my customers can renew the membership time, so his ADs expiration time could be renewed as well (and not pruned).

    3. Can I add a field to my users upload a logo (in the case of car agencies), so at every AD of this user, his logo is show?

PS: Sorry by the poor english!

    Thank you!

    1. ClassiPress has a custom forms and fields functionality which allows you to select the fields you wish to appear on the ad listing form. This includes the addition of dropdown boxes, radio buttons etc which you can also read more about here.

    2. The membership effectively runs separately to the actual listings in that the ads don't expire once the membership expires, the ads expire when the pre-determined membership ad settings expire. You can allow users to relist ads or renew memberships though.

    3. Other than the image which appears on a users profile page, there is no option for a default ad image based on the user. They would either need to add the image when posting, or it would require customization on your part. Thanks.

Hi Pepsi, thank you for the quick answer.

I was accessing your demo Classipress page, and I saw some ADs with the "expired" status.
Whats the difference between non-expired and expired ADs, if I can see then equally?

When you say that users can relist ads, if I use the Purge ADs option, the user will have to recreate the AD from the scratch, or he will see the expired AD and only click on some kind of "Relist" button?

    Thank you!

Oh, and the Classipress will warn the user that his membership / ADs are about to expire?

Some message like: "Your AD (or membership) will expire in 3 days" or something like that?

    Thanks

You as the admin can determine what happens to ads when they expire, whether that's for the ads to be sent back to draft mode and thus are removed from the site when expired, or for them to remain published but with "expired" information on the ad.

When you use the "Prune" ads options, it will send any expired ads back to draft mode, and if you allow ad relisting, the customer will see the link to relist in their dashboard, and also receive email notification.

User is emailed when the ad has expired, with link to their dashboard to relist. Thanks.
