    Some questions before I buy

Hi Im very close to buying but have some questions before I buy.

    1. Do you allow adult sites to use your theme, and do you give support to adult sites?

    2. Can I categories it out by location? So a member can post an ad in california, and another can post an ad in Toronto, and another in Miami, and they are categorized by different location?

Im really looking for a craigslist type of script that divides it up by region, so dont know if your software does this.

    thanks
    marc

    1. As long as you buy it legitimately, there is no reason why we would consider it a problem to use it for such purposes. In fact, I have seen other customers use ClassiPress for adult oriented sites. You can expect the same level of support as other AppThemes customers.

    2. You can create whatever categories you want, so if you wanted to make the parent categories location-oriented then this is up to you. Otherwise, if you may be looking at a network solution if you wanted multiple sites for different locations. But to clarify, no, it does not currently handle locations in the same way as Craigslist.

If you mean adult oriented site, you can check this thread http://forums.appthemes.com/fit-all-...ssipress-8516/ .
Please help our moderating team work more efficiently by not sending us support questions via PM. You can read more about how AppThemes support works here. However, you can send a PM to follow up and remind me if I missed your support request/thread.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Pepsi, I'd like to create a wordpress network of multiple sites for different location.
Are you sure this can be done with Classipress?
I want users can browse across the sites in the network without prompted to login everytime they 'change location'.
And can the account / dashboard shared across the site ?
I mean, will user pages such as profile, dashboard. add list appear the same on all sites in the network?
    Are you sure ?

I know there are definitely customers using ClassiPress on a multi site setup, but to be clear, there is no setting in the ClassiPress admin dashboard that is going to do all the work for you at the flick of a switch, so to speak. You'll need to be the one to link the databases and make any necessary changes to make it work as you describe. This is not ClassiPress specific, it's all about the WordPress Multisite functionality, hence the information you need should be in the link above and it would even pay to search Google and get more details if you need it.

Pepsi.. I think I know how to install and run wp network with standard / common Wordpress blog theme,
Not with a complex wordpress theme which turn into a classified site with a lot of user like Classipress.
So you say that your theme NOT OFFICIALLY support multisite (wp network) right ?

If users register on your default Classipress, what are their role by default?

    thanks for your fast reply.

Technically no, in the sense that none of the configuration for multisite is found in the actual ClassiPress admin. As I say, it can be done though, here's an example of one of the more recent websites I have seen discussed in our forums where the customer is using ClassiPress on a multisite setup.

The default new user role for ClassiPress should be "contributor".
