Support for mulit-site companies and/or "national" businesses?

    Hi,

I have a few questions regarding different scenarios:

    Scenario 1:
Does Vantage support listings for companies that support multiple areas out of a single location? So for example, I have a business that will support multiple states, but they are out of one location. Can I create a listing that will be considered "near" to multiple areas? or somehow define their "support area"?

By the way, how is "near" defined? Is it configurable?

    Scenario 2:
I have a company that supports multiple areas out of separate locations. Do these need to be separate listings?

    Scenario 3:
How do I set up a "national" business like an online retailer (e.g., Amazon.com) or a national consulting business or something like that?

    Thanks,
    Jason B.

I'm very sorry you can't see my original response to your thread which was made the same day you posted it (I actually remember responding to this, but for some reason that is gone?)

1: The default listing form includes just one option to select a location for the Google map, so whilst you could create a custom form and allow more fields for additional information to be added, the map itself will still only allow the one location. You could of course determine a more general location on the map to cover more areas. The advanced search functionality shown as "Refine Search" in the location search sidebar as shown in the Vantage demo, allows the user to set a radius search based on the location. You as the admin can determine the default standard search location radius.

2: Essentially if what I have stated in my above response doesn't work for you, then you could potentially create separate listings.. Whether or not you'd want to though..

3: If you're referring specifically to location, then you can actually search on the map for the country name and it won't specify a City/State.. Thanks.
