    User registration on multi-site Classipress

I would like to create a site that has several instances i.e. one for City1, City2, City3, etc.

What would be the best way to set this up? Create subdomains for each City and install Classipress on each subdomain?

Is there a way to set it up so that once a user is registered, they can post on multiple sites? For example, if they are from City1 (site 1), they can automatically be able to post to City2 (site 2) without having to re-register?

This would kind of be like craigslist where you have one account and can post to any city.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes that is possible by sharing common login data in the sql. There are a lot of tutorials about that of which can fairly be implemented. Some Classipress users are already implementing such.

I'm testing the Multisite User Management plugin right now. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/...er-management/
So far it seems to work really well. But there is an extra step in activating it. It's an easy one. Read the Installation notes on the plugin page.

My WP install is 3.0 with Network activated using directories instead of sub domains. Not sure if that matters.

Now if I can just get Register Plus to work...

Thanks artfan1, that's helpful. I've never seen that plugin before.

What do you mean by "Network activated using directories instead of subdomains"?

If you don't mind, can I see a link to the site(s) you're using Classipress and this Multisite User plugin?

What I mean is that my WP install is version 3.0, which now includes the multi user/site feature. I purchased the Ultimate edition of Classipress so that it would be compatible with this type of setup. I'm assuming that since this is in the presale section, that you are doing your research. And I would recommend you look at the Ultimate CP version if you are wanting to do what you mentioned. Because with the WP 3 version you can enable or active the "Network" features. After you install WP you follow a simple few steps and magically you have "Super Admin" in your dashboard. This allows you to add new sites without installing WP over and over again. You can then switch between the sites and the Classipress Dashboard will be there in them all.

With a few plugins, you can control a lot of permissions and user registration.

As for looking at a link. I don't have that online right now. I'm developing local on my MAMP server.

Thank you, but could you give some hint as to where to get these tutorials from. It would help if some of these tutorials could be included in the ClassiPress user's guide.

Wouldnt the "problem" be solved if you used regions and then only had ONE classipress installation?
I hope the sort by region will be in the new september release. Seems as if there are alot of people asking for this feature.
