    using categories for navigation at top of ALL pages

    I have spent quite a bit of time evaluating ClassiPress - it's better than any other solutions I've seen. One thing I like about it over every other classifieds app I've seen is it enables you to put the categories at the top of the page as a navigation bar. (Below the search box and above the item listing.)

    Example:

    http://www.greensheet.us/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    (Great site, BTW)

    This makes it soooooo much easier for visitors to get around. Simple yet powerful.

    But... when you go to an item page, this nav bar goes away. It's replaced with breadcrumbs. Like this:

    http://www.greensheet.us/2010/02/28/ant ... sville-va/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    I don't mind breadcrumbs but I think visitors would be best served by having the categories displayed on ALL pages - even the items.

    So my question is... is this possible (to have the categories show on all pages - including the item pages)? Maybe I'm missing something?

    Thanks for any light someone could shed on this.

    I agree, I think having the option to have categories at the top of the page as a navigation bar be displayed throughout would be a very nice feature indeed.

    I have a feeling I have seen this mentioned in the forums in the past, with someone posting a solution as to how to customize this? I will have a proper search later and see if I can find it. In any case, customizations such as this should be possible to someone with enough coding knowledge. :)
