    Vantage & ClassiPress Combined

    Hi there
I know Vantage is not available as yet, but just wondering if it's possible to have Vantage & ClassiPress installed on the same site?

    Cheers

Each theme requires its own instance of WordPress to run, so you could effectively use them both on the same site, however you'd install them in different directories.. i.e.

yourdomain.com <== Your homepage, say, your Vantage installation here
    yourdomain.com/classifieds <== Your Classipress installation

Thanks for your reply Pepsi :)
Would that mean that both installations would have a seperate user database or could it be combined? ie. Could Vantage users have the same profile/access ClassiPress? I hope that makes sense. :)

    Cheers

By default yes, they have separate user databases, but you can make changes to share a single database between multiple WordPress sites. There are many tutorials if you search Google, such as this.

We really don't have anything new to add, and the information as seen on the Theme Release Status Page is the only indication of progress.

    60% for 3 Months Now.

Is anyone else a little skeptical about the progress of vantage??? It has ben at 60% for over 4 months now. It's schedule has been changed a couple of times and really have a feeling that it wont meet its new rescheduled release for March-April.

Does anyone else share the same concerns???

Can we hear form the app themes people about the progress of Vantage? As the comments on the app theme blog regarding vantage have been Closed by the admin. "Comments are now closed."

And almost every question regarding the release of vantage we are told to refer to the "Theme Release status Page"
That has not changed except for the release date.

Just thought i would share my concerns with the app theme community.

Yes, the Vantage theme release dates have changed from the original dates, and this is because the project was on hold while our resources were concentrated on releasing the latest version of ClassiPress. So ultimately, the percentage hasn't changed because there literally hasn't been any further process on the theme.

As we have always mentioned, including on the releases page, we recommend that people do not plan their projects around the estimated release dates as these may change. We realise it's frustrating when you are excited about some of these being released, but the percentage shown on the page is still the best indication of how much has been completed.

Yes it is getting old seeing 60% for so long.
