Vantage Directory Child-- Change Scroller from Listings to Events

Hi. I like the Vantage theme, with the purchase of the Directory child -- big question. I couldn't see how to manipulate the scroller at the top of the screen --which I think adds value to what I'm working on. Rather than Listings, I would like to list events. Would this be possible? Also, how can I see in Admin the way to do this --it was not obvious. Thanks.
