I really like the features of the Vantage directory theme and I'm reviewing the demo but I have a few questions about it.
1. Does Vantage have a custom built rating system so staff can rate listings?
2. Does Vantage have Paypal recurring payments/subscription support?
3. Does AppThemes offer technical support for 12 months? If I have glitches or plugin incompatibilities, tech support will help fix problem?
4. Does Vantage have a multicity listing option?
5. Can the advanced search can be used to search by tags or by date for events?

In answer to your questions:

1. Vantage includes a rating system, but it's not designed to be customized or manipulated within the admin dashboard settings. Ratings are submitted only by registered site members.
2. Not at this time, no.
3. AppThemes does not officially support customizations or third party plugins, however your theme purchase includes 12 months of support for functionality of the theme itself and related issues that are not mentioned prior.
4. Not in the sense that the theme would handle multiple subdomains (these would have to be created manually). If you are looking for additional multicity options though, you can find the Multi-City AV plugin in the AppThemes marketplace to help customers select the location from the main homepage.
5. At this time, no, it's limited to distance and categories.

Vantage is not encrypted, so you are free to modify the theme as you wish, with other addons available in the AppThemes marketplace also.

1. OK, so there's an add-on plugin for multi-city option using Vantage theme. What other addons work with Vantage?
2. Does Vantage redirect to nearest city if a search term isn't found in that particular location (like geotheme)?
3. With Vantage, I will have the option to remove the google map from the header area, correct?
4. I can use Vantage without Photoshop PSD Files, correct? The $99 version contains .png files of icons as shown in the demo, correct?

1. You can find other Vantage related products in the marketplace here, with some other plugins also mentioned on our recommended plugins page.
2. The results will bring up other locations within the default radius (which you can set in the Vantage admin), however the user can also adjust this radius from the front end results page.
3. Yes, the map is added using an optional widget.
4. Yes, you can still use and customize the theme without the Photoshop .psd files. Thanks.

Vantage features

On August 29th, I asked you questions about the Vantage theme and you replied to all of them. :)

1. I'd like to list businesses based on Amazon Local where people can find services by state or by city. Can the basic Vantage theme function in this way or would I need to buy buy the multi-city plugin too. For instance, I want people to find vegetarian restaurants in Florida or in Miami, FL. The Vantage demo shows "Near city, country" but not by "Near city, state".
2. Do you have a holiday special on this theme?
3. Is there a built-in calendar widget for events in the sidebar?
4. I'd like to verify users (especially people posting reviews) using an sms service. If I buy this theme, would tech support help me with setup? The Wordpress forum post relating to this is at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/h...5#post-4594921
5. Vantage has pdf uploads but does Vantage allow Youtube embeds in listings? And Featured Video?
6. Could you tell me if the current version of Vantage now contains some of the features I wanted? I really want Paypal recurring payments and search by tags.

1. As mentioned earlier, Vantage has an advanced search option which appears in the location results sidebar as shown here on the Vantage demo site, and with this you can determine the search radius which would allow you to keep the search within a certain area.
2. We don't have any promotions planned for the holiday period at this time.
3. No there is no calendar, however you can view the other event related widgets here on the admin demo.
4. As this would be a customization of the default theme, unfortunately this would not be officially supported by our team. You can find developers for hire on our certified partners page who are experienced at working with our themes and you may potentially like to make contact with an outline of your requirements to get an idea of what this modification may cost to implement.
5. Yes you can use YouTube embedded code within listing descriptions.
6. Recurring payments is scheduled for implementation in Vantage version 1.3 which has not yet been released, and I'm not aware of immediate plans regarding the search by tags option.

Hi Pepsi,

1. Vantages does have listing tags so there's no need for search by tag feature. Funny how I missed that when I viewed the admin demo back in August.

2. Oh, please, please tell the developers to add Paypal subscription payments to the installed payment gateways (bank transfer and regular Paypal) for 1.3.

3. Does the current Paypal payment option return the customer to the website after they are taken to Paypal for payment?

1. Yes the listings have tags, but they're not searchable from the actual search fields themselves in the header. There is a tag cloud widget as well.

2. The release isn't all that far away so we'll know more about the recurring payments functionality implemented when it does come out ;)

3. Yes, once the transaction is completed they are redirected back to the Vantage site. Thanks.

I tried purchasing Vantage over 1 1/2 weeks ago and today but for some strange reason I'm unable to "submit my order" via Paypalhttps://www.appthemes.com/cp/signup.php. I'm new to Appthemes. Also, I found coupon codes at premiumthemesdirectory for 40% off that I wanted to use but when I enter "NOTSOSILENTNIGHT" and click "Apply code" I get the message "Coupon has been locked" but the $99 isn't reduced in price.

Could you help me with the checkout process? I have no idea why it's not working for me. I like everything about Vantage and it's high time I got it.

The coupon code you mention is from 2-3 years ago and was only available for 48 hours so has long expired and will not work. The only promotions we have available at this time are those related to WordPress hosting and AppThemes translations. Thanks.
