    Vantage Pre-Sales Questions

With Vantage Directory, can we restrict packages to specific categories and fields?

For example, could a person create a FREE Basic listing for category A with 5 basic fields OR upgrade to a different package that included 10 fields/features?

Also, is Vantage set up so we can create UNIQUE SIDEBARS for each listing. For example, using a WooSidebar plugin, is Vantage set up so every listing OR category could have its own sidebar.

    Thanks!

P.S. FYI - you might already have this question in your forum and I would have done more searching for it if I hadn't kept running into posts that said I had to be a customer to see the response.

Plans are not specific to categories, however you can add surcharges for specific categories. Custom listing forms can be assigned to specific categories so whilst you can set custom forms/fields based on categories, you'd need to work with the default plan options if you're not looking to customize it specifically to work as you have described. Sidebars are the same across all listings but can be different for different page sidebars. Thanks.

    Custom sidebars and short codes

Thanks Pepsi! Can you find out if vantage can be customized to have the sidebars unique to each listing. I know it doesn't come that way but we want to know if it's set-up so it can be customized to do it.

Also, what kinds of short codes are available for putting specific categories on different pages? For example, we want to have a Directory with different sports and fitness programs, then create pages for major cities that show the latest 10 listings from the sports category and 10 from the fitness category.

So, we'd want to call a short code something like [vantage category=sports, tag=San Diego, number=10] and 1 for fitness on the same page.

We don't mind customizing, but we want to make sure it's customizable.

    Thanks again!

Our themes are not encrypted, so you can definitely make modifications if you wish. If you are looking for someone to make the required modifications, we don't offer customization services, however we do have a certified partners page where you can find developers for hire who are experienced at working with our themes. You can read more about theme customizations and useful information for developers here. There are no short codes for use as described. Thanks.

    Vantage Theme

Hi, I'm interested to purchase the vantage theme. Before I do that I want to know before anyone can add event listing or business listing, is there a function to enable them to login to join as a member first?

    Thanks

By default, Vantage requires that users are registered before they can post listings or events, so yes this is a function already available. Thanks.
