Vantage - Question on a change

Hi,

I am new to vantage directory theme and have a question if anybody can help please?

Basically, on the homepage you can search by 'Business Name' or 'Event' and then a location. I want to change the wording of 'Event' to something else.

Is this possible? I cant seem to find it within the admin demo.

There is no option in the Vantage admin dashboard to make this change, but it could be done through custom code changes on your part. Vantage is not encrypted, so you are free to make modifications such as this if you wish. Thanks.

Can you please confirm where i could see/edit the code within the system,

Also - If i wanted to change the wording of a button on the homepage, e.g 'Add an Event Now' to something else, is this a design change which will need to be done in photoshop or is this an admin control panel change for the wording?

If it is a design change, would i need the developer licence and .psd files?

AppThemes does not officially support customizations, so if as a customer you need help (i.e. where and how to change the code), you can seek community based support in the "Vantage General Discussion" forums. We do also have a certified partners page if you are looking for developers for hire who can make modifications for you. If you make contact directly with an outline of your requirements, they can provide a quote for the work. Changing the wording as described is not an admin control panel option, and yes this specific button can be found in the .psd files. You do not have to have a developer license in order to make modifications to the default theme. Whilst the developer license includes the Photoshop .psd files, you still need knowledge of css in order to make use of them. Thanks.
