Hello there

I'm considering to purchase one or more licenses for Classipress for a few projects I had in mind for a while.

I have few questions.

1) I wouldn't use Classipress out of the box, I need to customize it for design and add a few functions. I'm concerned about the fact that if I buy a license for version 2.9 and start customizing that... when the upcoming 3.0 is out I have to do all the work again... How different will be 3.0 from 2.9? What is your suggestion for people who will modding Classipress? How about future updates?

2) One of the websites I need to do will be supporting three languages. I want to allow users to write listings in three languages. Can I use Classipress in conjunction with the famous Qtranslate plugin for this?

3) is it possible for users to get alerts or updates via email when certain classifieds matching some keyword or other criteria are posted?

4) I'm not sure if Classipress can handle this: suppose I want to create classifieds on a regional basis... how to filter locations within classifieds? i.e. there would be dozens of categories: "fruit" -> apple, pears, pineapple... but how to filter between apples classifieds posted for Spingfield and pears classifieds listings posted for Shelbyville and at the same time looking for apples in both these cities?

Better wait for version 3.0 as major changes will be implemented.

With regards to your other questions, they can be all be done. Being a wordpress theme, plugins works just fine. For your customization requirements, it can definitely be implemented with. You can simply hire a coder to do it for you.

Best option is to actually buy CP now though, while at their current prices. These will increase with the release of 3.0.

LOL, I want to buy CP but... if I buy the 2.9 version I can't download the 3.0 ? :O

Not exactly sure what you mean by that? But if you buy CP (2.9) now, then once 3.0 is released - it is a free upgrade for those who already purchased the product, so you would be able to upgrade to the new version at no extra cost.

There will be a price increase on licences when 3.0 is released, however if you have already purchased a CP licence (which you have) - then you definitely don't pay any more to upgrade to the next version..
