I Want To Buy Either Clipper & Classipress Standard or Developer Editions

I am very very interested in Clipper and Classipress Developer Editions.

Please answer my questions:

(1) Do I have to display powered by AppThemes at footer or somewhere at my website?

(2) Can I really have unlimited installation of the software i.e l can install the software on as many domains (that I own) as I like? (I have read about the unlimited installation but I have to ask it here to make sure that I fully understand what was written)

(3) Can I create unlimited categories and sub sub sub sub... categories?

(4) Are Clipper and Classipress plugins for WordPress like other WordPress plugins? That is they work by uploading them to plugin directory of my WordPress website i.e. example.com/wp-content/plugins? Or do I have to install them in a sub directory of example.com e.g. example.com/clipper and example.com/classipress?

(5) Can Clipper & Classipress work with popular WordPress plugins such as All in One SEO Pack?

(6) I love to have a variety of Permalink settings for my WordPress sites. Can Clipper & Classipress work with Custom Scructure of WordPress Permalink settings?

(7) In the demo site, there are different pricing for different categories. That means everytime a member want to post an ads, the member has to pay $3 or $10. Can I set different pricing plans? For example,

(i) Allow free posting for all
(ii) Members can post unlimited number of ads but have to pay $50 per year & will be billed annually. And is there an automated billing system where members will be asked to pay after certain period of time e.g. 1 month, 6 months, 12 months, etc?

(8) In the showcase sites, I can see that there is an expiration date for Classified website. What if I don't want the page to expire? (that is if my page ranked well in the search engines for certain keywords) Am I able to do that?

(9) Other than getting PSD Photoshop files, what is the different between Developer and Standard Edition?

(10) Wordpress plugins can be updated without having to manually FTP the new version to the server. Can I do the same with your software?

(11) Will I get lifetime update? We are going to have WordPress 3.2 soon. Will your software still work with the latest version of WordPress and if it doesn't work, will you make it work and get a free update or do I have to pay for the update?

(12) What is AppThemes Club Developer? Does it include Classipress, Jobroller, & Clipper?

(13) Is there any discount if I get ClassiPress and Clipper? The two software look the same and with some modification to the code, I might be able to make Clipper to function like ClassiPress, but I think it is always better to pay for the 2 licenses.

1. You can remove the credit links if you want to.

2. As long as you are not reselling the theme you can install it on multiple websites that you own.

3. Yes you can create unlimited categories.

4. Clipper and Classipress are themes and so you install them as themes.

5. I think there is a reported issue with the use AISO but an alternative can used such as the Wordpress SEO by Yoast.

6. Since the themes uses custom post types / custom taxonomies it uses different permalink structure as explained on this blogpost ClassiPress v3.0.5.3 is Now Available | AppThemes . However, there is a plugin to make it so.

7. Membership setup is not yet a feature on the current version though it is already requested at the ideas exchange page AppThemes Ideas Exchange .

8. You can set in the admin settings not to prune the ads so they would remain even if expired. You can also remove the expiration date text in the code if you need to.

10. Yes you can update the theme through the wordpress admin.

11. Update is free for lifetime with the current offering . Likewise, the themes are frequently updated to correspond with Wordpress core updates.

In Premium WordPress Themes | AppThemes there are 2 themes that are not available yet - Vantage & Sage.

If I pay $249 for AppThemes Club Standard, will I get all the themes including Vantage & Sage? That is Classipress, JobRoller, Clipper, Vantage & Sage.

If I require the PSD files later, can I pay the $100 different for AppThemes Club Developer?

Will I get 50% of $249 i.e I'll be paying only $124.50 if I sign up with Host Gator?

Yes, if you purchase the AppThemes Club Package license, this gives you all current and future themes including Vantage and Sage.

Yes you can uprade your license type later BUT you should note that we will soon be introducing an annual subscription fee for all of our themes and upgrades. What will happen is that any purchases made before this happens, will continue to receive free lifetime updates as promised, but if in your case you upgrade after the annual subscription fee is introduced, you should expect to pay an annual fee for the .psd files.

The 50% hosting discount does not apply to AppThemes Club Packages. As per the promos page, the hosting discount for Club Packages is $79.

You are not required to sign up to a specific plan, you only need to make sure you sign up using the link on our website, following the details in the promos page.

I am comparing your themes with 2 of your competitors (one of them I found from the link at your website) and I found that your prices for Club editions are too expensive that is if all you have is 3 or 5 themes whereas your competitors have 30 times more theme than yours. Sorry no offense intended. I am not disputing your rights to set your own price here.

After looking at 2 of your competitors, I am having problem deciding whether to buy your theme or not. I love your ClassiPress but my original intention was to set up a Real Estate website (that is how I discovered your website even though you do not have this theme) but your competitors have Real Estate themes.

Other than the 3 + 2 themes, will there be any new themes especially Real Estate theme be added in the future and will I get lifetime update of future themes if I sign up for AppThemes Club Standard?

One of your competitors allow web designers to make use of the theme for their clients. Under your terms and conditions, do you allow web designers who purchased your themes to use your themes for their client' websites?

By the way, I am not a web designer and I am not interested in reselling your themes which if I am not mistaken is against your terms & conditions. If I have my wish, I don't want others to know about your theme so that I can be the only one having classified website. :) My purpose of using your themes is for running Google Adsense.

But in the future if you designed themes that are not for the purpose of running classified ads, will I be able to use them for my clients (that is if I do web design for others)?

Yes we do have plans to develop more themes in future, but whether or not any of them are specifically for real estate, I cannot confirm. We have seen customers who have modified ClassiPress to use as a real estate theme, but this is customization on their part.

Yes, we do allow web developers to purchase our themes to build client websites. What we don't allow is people actually trying to sell our themes. This applies to all of our themes.

It looks like the AppThemes's default installation is catered for visitors from the United States. My target country is in Asia. Can the States & Country when posting an ads be changed to the states in other countries?

You can replace those as they are just placeholders of which you can replace with your own or create one that suits your region/area.

I am buying AppThemes Developer Standard today. First, I got to sign up with HostGator.

I have 1 question to ask:

In JobRoller Admin, there is a Job Pack module where you can specify how many jobs at what price and for how many days. But in ClassiPress, there is an AdPack module where you can only specify 1 job listing for how many days & at what price.

Can we have something similiar to JobPack at ClassiPress where we can sell Ads packages (e.g. 100 ads for 30 days for $50, 200 ads for 60 days at $60)? If not, then can AppThemes consider adding this feature in the next version of ClassiPress? I don't think it is a difficult request at AppThemes' end as you already have this module at JobRoller.

It would make ClassiPress sites more interesting & competitive as advertisers can buy ads packages where they can post a certain number of listings for a certain period of time instead of having to pay through PayPal everytime they wanted to post an ad.

If JobPack is a plugin, then that would be easier as we can add this plugin to ClassiPress and activate it.

Overall, your application is awesome, but it can be improved further.
