What is the ad submission process like when not charging for posting?

I tried posting an ad using the AppThemes ClassiPress demo site, and was eventually taken to a screen asking me to pay in order to post it. That makes sense, as the demo site is of the type that charges users to post. However, I am interested in making a site where users are not charged to post ads. Is there a way I can experience the user experience under such a setting, before purchasing ClassiPress? I am particularly intetested in whether the user is told their action will cost $0.00, or any references to even the*notion* of charge to them get completely hidden.

Scenario to illustrate question

To try to make what I'm asking more clear; here is a scenario:

On the AppThemes ClassiPress demo site, first, I log in. Then, I click "post an ad." I am taken to step #1 of 3 for posting a new ad. There I select a category. All categories have some price associated with them; in other words, none are FREE. Anyway, I'll choose "Books - $3" : "Magazines - $1" for this scenario. Then, I am taken to a new page in which I provide my Street, Price, Title, City, etc. Next, I am taken to step #2 of 3, where the posting fees are added up and the total is displayed along with a field for selecting the payment method.

My question is:

If the total is $0.00 (which it will always be on the site I want to build), will the Ad Listing Fee, Total Amount Due, and Payment Method fields still be displayed? I don't want them to.

Finally, I am taken to step #3 of 3, which takes me to the Paypal website. If the total were $0.00, would I still have been taken to the PayPal website?
