Thread: When?

A lot of people HAVE paid based on promises, that's the point. When will you people who defend them realize that we are the customers and if expectations were never set, then we wouldn't have the right to be upset. But expectations were set, so it has infuriated a lot of people. You people who defend them don't seem to grasp the concept of customer service.

It's More Than Just The Concept Of Customer Service

I really hope that the AppThemes Team has learned from this mistake. They have a product that has a lot of use on the internet - there are tons of poorly designed business directories out there and it seems like the AppThemes Team has a directory theme that is going to beat out the competition, at least at first glance. What I am hoping they have learned though is not to preview a script that is so far from being completed - it's great to build up some momentum and to showcase something that is going to be put into production soon - but by soon I mean a month maybe 2 at the most. As this theme has been in production for nearly a year (possibly more than that, I've only be watching it for just under 10 months now) there are quite a few customers that have been following the release status as it got pushed further and further away with promises of "Coming Soon". Soon doesn't equal 10 months of development.

For those of you that stand up for the AppThemes Development Team I would hate to be a client of yours. "Don't worry Mr. Consumer we'll have your website completed soon - and by soon we mean 'when we get to it', yes I know it's been over a year but we have other things that we've been working on. We're truly sorry that we showed you what an awesome website your going to have and gave you the impression that it was close to being done but you have to understand we have quite a few people that really like what we're doing and any one of them will tell you that promises aren't worth anything when the final product is so amazing!!!"

I just hope for the sake of the AppThemes development team Vantage is one incredible theme that really works out of the box without a bunch of scripting errors and issues, there is truly going to be hell to pay if this thing sucks after such a long wait and all of the debate that has been going on.

I agree with everyone's points here in that it does look like a great theme and they will certainly reap the benefits of their hard work.

I just wish that they would update this forum with an expected delivery date.

Yeah!!! Come on guys!!! I have purchased a license an have been waiting almost a year now!!

The lastest update with regards to the Vantage Theme release was posted on the Theme Release Status Page yesterday.

I cannot believe the people complaining about the release timing of Vantage. First, look at the time spent you should applaud them would you prefer them to accelerate the release so they can roll out garbage like many others do nowadays. I too have been waiting rest assure as always appthemes will put out a great product with little to no bugs. All you complainers go write some code yourself and see how long would it take you to put out Vantage...

Some Other Posters

It's great that the AppThemes team has such dedicated followers - but no matter how you look at it taking over a year to release a product that has been announced is poor business. If Apple were to announce the new iPhone and put a launch date of June 1st on it and then constantly push it off (with good reason or not) their consumers would be pissed and the backlash would be far worse than a few posts in a forum. so for those of you that keep sticking up for the AppThemes team you can stop now. There is no amount of justification that is going to alleviate the emotions of those people that have patiently waited as the release date for this theme has been pushed off and pushed off.
