    Will the next version include a location-based search?

    Will the next version of classipress allow users to search by location like job roller? Will it work in any country? Do we have the option to turn off this feature if we have to?

    Will all the upcoming themes have this feature (location search)?

    As quoted from the members only thread;

    3.1 will include advanced search which means you will be able to filter search results based on all your different fields. This can be by just city/state or whatever location custom fields you have setup.

    Thanks, jomark.

    Does it mean I have the option not to have a search location if I have to? I may used the theme for local classifieds using sub-directories or sub-domains (e.g. classifieds.losangeles.com, classifieds.sandiego.com?

    I may not need a location filter since the URLs will be already localized

    The advanced search fields are determined by what you choose to put in there from your custom fields, so this should mean you can leave out location if you wish.

    Thanks, Pepsi. Will it be the same for jobroller, clipper and the other themes?

    Potentially yes, as eventually we will see similar functions available with all of our themes, as there are plans to implement a framework across all themes. This hasn't happened yet but is planned.
