3.05 slow speed and very low yslow rating

anyone seeing large reductions in loading speed?? My site is crawling like an old lazy dog in the sun..and has dropped from a 'b' and 85% rating in yslow to and 'f' 44%

it seems to be loading in 18 external Javascript scripts on every page using the enque....before the upgrade i only had 7 javascript files....if i list these javascript files would anyone know what they do?
and how to disable them or only call them when needed?
