Hi Guys,
This Featured Image for blog posts has me confussed !

Ok if I set a featured image for a blog post at time of writing it will appear in the sidebar widget and on the blog post listing page BUT not on the single blog post page.
If I insert the image into the post itself it will display in the blog listing page and the single post page BUT not in the sidebar widget.

Is there some way of setting the featured image while writing a post that it will show up everywhere.

another point, I have the Reading settings to show the summary of the post in the blog listing page but its showing all the post. Granted the posts are short, is there a way of limiting the amount of post text shown on this page with a link to the full post.
