Create forms to change Price Filter Advanced Search range specific to category

I have set up an advanced search form layout so that I have a price slider. I created 2 different forms--one for cars, boats and motorcycles (the high-priced items) and another for all the other categories. Because having a baby category, for example, with the top price at $95,000 (or whatever the highest priced car ad might be) seems ridiculous, and if the range is too large it is hard to manipulate into the lower numbers with the scale bar.

SO my attempt doesn't work. Shows the highest price listed for all categories.

What am I doing wring? Or, is this possible?
