Hi,

Have a question around ad pruning/cron jobs

From reading on the forums it appears that the pruning/cron job uses the default wp method which unless i am mistaken is activated by visitors of the website for it to be kicked off, from experience of other wp sites this method is not ideal as if you have a quiet period the job is not activated and also creates a lot of load for the wp install to run the job whilst the site is being used.

What I would like to do is set up a job via a server cron this way the job can be scheduled for a set time and date which is generally built around evening times when server load is quite plus if i have the job scheduled this would result in a more controlled activation of the job/error handling if the job failed.

Can this be done with classipress? If so what is the name of the file to call or i should ask has any one done this on their sites?
