Featured Listing Slider Ads Not Showing in Slider

Brand New site have been testing ad posting. Only 2 ads on website total as this is a test

So 3rd ad I decided to have it as a featured to see if would show up, and lo and behold I pay my money and the ad appears in the regular category listing but not in the slider

Like ok... I know if you have something setup initially where no ads can show in the slider until X amount of ads are on the website

But does that mean I have to go without the Featured Slider i.e Disable it until my site has lots of ads?

Can you clarify how the featured slider was designed thanks
