    How to exclude posts with specific categories from main blog

    I have a set of information that would work well as category posts, but which I don't want appearing on the main blog list.

    I was hoping to find a way of using categories and setting these not to display on the Blog, but the plugin that looked best (Simply Exclude) doesn't seem to work.

    Any suggestions, preferably a plugin rather than code, but I can handle reasonably straightforward alterations to the child theme.
