No Password Fields on Register Page

When a user clicks on the "Register" button, and is taken to the Register page of my Classipress site, there are two fields, one for username and one for email. When you enter these two fields and hit the submit button, you return the the same page with "ERROR: Please enter a password." displayed, and the two password fields are now visible. Why are they not shown on the first Register page? I have the option for "User Set Password" set to YES in the settings panel.
