Price slider questions for Refine Search page

Hi,

1) When a price gets listed with a comma, the price slider does NOT seem to adjust for that price. For example, if the max posted price is $300, then the price slider will slide up to $300. However, if the max posted price is $1,000 then the price slider does not max out at $1000 ... if the posted price doesn't have a comma 1000 then the price slider goes up to 1000. Why is that? Enabling clean price field doesn't help either!

Please advise if anything can be done.

2) Finally, if the max posted price of a posted ad item is $400, then the price slider will go up to 400. However, if the max posted price is $400.99 then the price slider will only go up to 400 not 400.99. In addition, the price slider will filter out the ad because the actual price is 400.99 and not 400. How do I solve this issue? Is there a way to have the price slider round UP when using the max posted price?

3) How can I delete the price slider feature from my refine search page? I may be okay with just having the city/zip code refine search option.
