Sticky function NOT working!

Hi,
I’m using classipress 3.0.4, and wordpress 3.1.
I can not, for the life of me to get the sticky posts working.
When assigning a sticky post, the post does not stick to the front page and not to the category.
The only place where it shows up is on the homepage slider.
The purpose of classipress is to sell featured spots on the top of the categories and of course homepage.
I did not test the sticky feature until now because I offered free listings.
Can anyone be so kind and help me out.
The sticky feature or let’s say the paid listing is simply not working.
I downgraded and upgraded wordpress, I also upgraded classipres from 3.0.2 to 3.0.4, I don’t go further than that because I just don want to mess up my permalinks.
Nothing works.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
