Users can't edit their own ads

My users can't edit their own ads.

    I'm using classipress 3.0.5.4. Wordpress 3.1.2.

My users are set to contributors when they register.

They used to be able to edit but now when they click on the "Edit Listing" link on the ad(not the user dashboard), it doesn't do anything but refreshes the page.

I tried setting the user to author. When this is true, clicking on the Edit Listing link on the ad page will take the user to WP-Admin where they can edit. I do not want this to happen.
