Using a Static page as the Homepage. Possible?

Hi,

I've searched the forum for a while and couldn't find a fix to my problem.

I want to display a static page as the homepage and have a blog page with the latest articles (posts) under /blog/. See here, it displays the Ads instead of the posts: Blog | Scooter Pas Cher!

I did put the blog page with BLOG TEMPLATE and I put the correct Page ID (10) in ClassiPress options. Blog is enabled and it makes no difference if I use Directory Style or Standard Style. I did go into the Wordpress reading options and specified a static homepage and blog page. Can't I use that function?
