Cloaking Issue - Redirection Link indexing
Hi I am using Clipper for at least 10 of my sites and so far loving the theme for its features and cleanliness. But what I found for most of my sites that after they are indexing and ranking, few months later they are slowly dropping in SERP. Many might argue that new sites face ups and downs in ranking but when I had a close look on it I found that the trigger URL "GO" which is using for cloaking by default is getting indexed in Google with the following msg:
Say, my site is
http://www.coupondot.com
I checked in Google - site:
www.coupondot.com inurl:go
Results returned -
Click to Redeem - Coupondot.com
www.coupondot.com/go/mcafee-promo-codes/1040
A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt
After I click "repeat the search with the omitted results included" it is showing already 24 pages indexed though no Meta Description is available due to robots.txt. I think these cloaked links which are indexing and are of no use are really creating negative effect for ranking in the long run.
I have even disallowed "GO" with robots.txt but seems Google doesn't hear anyone!!
Good news is that I somewhere read that you are going to add rel="nofollow" for store and redirection links in next update, but can you advise how to stop search engines completely from indexing these pages for current version.
Or at least how we can add rel="nofollow" on Clipper 1.4.
Thank you very much.
