Set Featured Image does not work

Hi,
For clipper, currently the coupon image shows the store image, I would like change the image to reflect the actual product. For example, for dell coupon, it always show dell web site image, I would like to replace it with a desktop image or notebook one depends on the deal content, I upload the image through "Featured Image", In the "Set Featured Image' page, I chose "Uploaded to this post" and click on "Set featured image" button, but the changed image does not show up in the coupon post page, the coupon post page still show the store image.

Second, the changed image did show up in the coupon edit page in the "Featured Image" area, but the image is clipped as part of the original image, not a small size of the whole image, I think maybe my image is too big, what is the required image size to use "Featured image" functionality?
