Sometimes coupon redirect takes about 10 seconds

Hi,
Sometimes I found that the coupon redirect (when visitors clicks on (click on "Click TO REDEEM" button) run very slow, I can see that the browsers is loading the http://www.mywebsite.com/go/........ the redirect link, but somehow it takes about 10 seconds until destination show up.

I logged into the machine by ssh, and type "top" to see what is the machine status, I saw the CPU usage is less than 20% and it still has about 1G memory free. this slow performance lasts for about 2 hours, then it is back to normal.

I have the CDN setup, access the site is still fast and I checked the log file, I did not see anything special, I wonder maybe the mysql database is slow, but I don't know to monitor the database performance.

please advice what to do next.
