Money in escrow account but status still 'Awaiting Funds'

We are experiencing an issue where the status of a project is not updating to paid after the funds are successfully transferred to the escrow account. We have experienced the issue int eh past and had to make a manual payment to the freelancer. This is not ideal because neither the freelancer or employer are able to rate and review each other, and neither gets a completed project in their statistics.

This latest incident occurred after the first attempt at funding the project failed because of incorrect paypal information in the freelancer's profile. We were able to diagnose the error with the account and the employer was able to complete the funding transaction. We have checked the escrow account and the funds are available, but the status of the project has not been updated to reflect this. We need a way to manually update the status to reflect the successful funding of the project, or the project will just be abandoned on the site and we will have to make another manual payment. I have tested manually updating the status of the project in the database with mixed results.

Our site is up and running and this issue is causing us customer satisfaction issues. Can you please advise on how to correct this issue!
