Dynamically change number of indeed sponsored results

I am on 1.6.2. If I change the number of indeed jobs pulled via the integration tab in wordpress, this only changes the number of indeed jobs on the front page. In a search results page, it will still display 16 or so listings. I would like to reverse this, and be able to show 16 indeed results on the front page, and only 3 or 5 on the search results page. Is there a way to dynamically set the $limit variable from theme-indeed.php? Any help in this manner would be appreciated.
